England is AMAZING!!!
Ancient history, castles, theater, beautiful and inspiring landscapes, quaint villages and impressive traditions. And of course, ALL things historical!
**WARNING** - Ross will talk his head off in passionate tones about the history of EVERY area we visit!!
But don't worry, we will vary our adventures with gorgeous outdoor hikes, swimming at the beach, and shopping in adorable English villages
We have been working very hard to craft the best historical themed itinerary that we can devise. It is difficult to choose between the many many wonderful options of exciting things to do in England, but we believe that we have chosen some of the very best activities and sights based around our historical theme.
London will be incredible this Summer!!

In London we will be visiting The Tower of London, built by the first Norman King in England - William the Conquerer, and completed in 1078 to solidify his power and control the Anglo-Saxon citizens of London.
The site of many battles, and executions (particularly during the Tudor time) and home to the iconic Yeoman Warders, known as the ‘Beefeaters”. This is also where we can view the Crown Jewels!

Other plans for London include - a guided tour of William Shakepear's Globe theatre, the British museum, and we will attend a broadway performance creatively depicting the lives of the 6 wives of king Henry VIII

Stonehenge
High on the Salisbury plains of Wiltshire is the mysterious rock structure known as “Stone Henge.” Believed to have been built by Neolithic farmers indigenous to the British Isles, theories of who and how this was built have baffled Historians for centuries!!
Is it an ancient religious site, burial monument, meeting place, or an astronomical calendar? Or perhaps it was built by aliens?
Come and create your own theory!!

Dartmoor National Park
We are bringing you to our home!
Southern England is stunning and full of beautiful nature and history.
Bronze-age settlements and Medieval hamlets long since abandoned but still full of life. Rocky Tors make you feel you are in the land of the Horselords of Middle Earth. Dartmoor might just be our favourite place on earth! Come on a gorgeous hike, see wild landscapes, free running ponies and sheep, and also the ruins of an ancient Medieval Village!!

Totnes
Initially an Anglo Saxon hill fort and village, taken by the Norman invaders in 1066 where a wonderful Norman 'motte and bailey' castle was built and still remains.
Today Totnes is a fashionable layback town with wonderful markets, shops, and the best pastries you will eat in Devon! Just wait till you try them!!
We also plan to have a kayaking adventure down the Dart river.

The beaches of southern England are beautiful in the Summer. There is a stunning coastal path that covers the entire coast of both Devon and Cornwall. We will have a wander and a swim in this gorgeous part of the world!!

We will also visit one of England's historical stately homes - featuring period decor, fascinating history, and beautiful grounds.

Other points of interest on this tour will be
- Traditional English food
- Stunning scenery
- A walking tour of interesting sight of London such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the houses of Parliament.
- Adorable villages and bookshops straight from your dreams!
- The pastries, oh, the pastries!!!
