The Gilberts are going home, and we are inviting you to come and experience our beautiful country with us!!
Come to our home town of Melbourne!! Cosmopolitan city, great food, amazing beaches and incredible wildlife. Come and meet some more Gilberts, learn some Aussie lingo, and discover the magic of this great Southern Land.
This tour is FULL BOARD!! You don't need to worry about anything, just come along for the experience of a lifetime and have everything provided by us!
All food, accommodation, activities, entrance fees and transfers included.
9 days tour, 8 nights accommodation.
This tour will be for youth 14 years + and also for parents.
Young adults wanting to join this tour will need to apply first via email before registering. This is because the tour is focused for teens, however, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.

The tour mentors for this trip will be Ross and Skyler Gilbert, both have extensive experience working with youth.
Ross Gilbert is the Headmaster and also a Leadership Mentor for Williamsburg Academy. He was awarded numerous mentoring awards through Williamsburg Learning 2019 - 2024. He has never regretted leaving corporate life 8 years ago fulfill his dream of living intentionally and working in a meaningful capacity with youth.
Skyler Gilbert is the founder of Learning Brave LLC, the mother of 5 children, a writer, artist, and avid adventure planner.
Ross and Skyler are true blue Aussies! They have a passionate love for exploring the world, but a deep love for their incredible home country and are so excited to share this love with others!

Together we are going to explore Melbourne and all it has to offer! Try ALL the food!! experience the unique wildlife and nature to be found in Australia, chill out on the most gorgeous beaches in the world, and just dive into all things Aussie.

The Summer is in full swing in Melbourne in January!!
In Melbourne we will be visiting the Queen Victoria Market, taking a city tour, checking out the cool and trendy Federation Square, taking the historical City Tram, and seeing either a sports event or a musical production!!!
And don't forget the wildlife!! We will take a day trip to the incredible Healesville Sanctuary, a wildlife park that specializes in the preservation and care of native Australian animals
Bring on the beach!! Golden sand and clear water is just the norm over in Australia during the summer! A beach day is a quintessential Aussie experience (just without the sunburn thanks...)
We will be spending a day at Gumbuya World, an Aussie themed fun-park that is totally unique!!
We will be exploring Melbourne history and experiencing old-time Victorian heritage!!
Did you know that Australia has penguins? Every night fairy penguins make their way onto the Australian beaches of Phillip Islands and we are going to witness this beautiful event together!!
We like to include a little luxury whenever possible, so we have decided to take a visit to the Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs in Victoria - a natural geothermal mineral springs and day spa facility with over 70 globally inspired bathing and wellness experiences, nestled harmoniously in the beautiful Australian natural landscape. This place is glorious!!

Accommodation.
We will finalize accommodation once we have firm numbers for the tour. We will be staying in various lovely hotels and Airbnb's in Melbourne, Victoria.
Transportation.
All transportation is included in this tour one participant arrives at the Melbourne International Airport.
After registration, we will advise an optimal time for participants to arrive and depart the airport.
We are very willing to work with parents and and youth to help facilitate travel buddy groups so that whenever possible, teens can fly together and accompany each other. We also offer travel consultation in the form of personalized help to find the best possible flights available for each participant! (We are very good at this as we have been full-time traveling around the world for the past 6 years!)
